Notice Boards: Cloth, Cork, Fabric and Lockable Acrylic Door Cover — Plusmark Display System

Notice boards get bought last and specified worst, because a cloth board looks like a simple object. The distinction that matters is not colour — it is whether the notice has to be pinned, protected, or both.

Cloth boards — pin-up display

2 mm Blazer Cloth and Super Fine Velvet Cloth are stretched over soft, pin-friendly cores and come in multiple colours. These are the standard corridor and reception boards: notices, circulars, charts and event posters go in with pins and come out without leaving a hole in the wall.

Cloth boards are supplied across the series, so a school can use a lighter Eco Regular board in a back corridor and a Metallic Premium board at reception while keeping one look.

Cork boards — the practical middle option

Cork Notice Boards take pins the same way cloth does and are the natural choice where a board gets reorganised constantly. Cork is also available in Metallic Premium, Eco Premium and Deluxe frame variants.

Fabric boards — colour and layout to order

Fabric Notice Boards are supplied in the customer's preferred fabric colour, with the board layout done as per requirement. Where an institution wants a board matched to a wall or a house colour, this is the route rather than accepting a standard colour.

Acrylic Door Cover boards — when notices must stay put

ADC notice boards put a lockable acrylic cover over the display area. Notices stay visible, and they stay correct: nothing gets removed, swapped or torn down overnight.

These are built heavier — Deluxe 45 mm Triple Aluminium Framing on the Deluxe range — and come as single-door and double-door boards, with an Eco variant for lighter applications.

Where a board is used for anything that has to be officially on display — examination notices, fee circulars, statutory and compliance notices, tender and RTI information, duty rosters in a government office — a covered board is the right specification.

Display boards that are not notice boards

Two adjacent products get mixed into the same purchase order. Acrylic Folder Display Boards hold documents in folders — charts, reports, SOPs and production data — with folder size and quantity made to requirement. Key Hanger Boards hold keys on labelled hooks. Neither is a pin-up surface, and specifying one as a notice board is a common and expensive mistake.

How to choose

Ask one question: does the content change, or does it have to stay? If it changes constantly, cloth, cork or fabric. If it has to remain exactly as put up, and it matters, lockable acrylic door cover.
